Picked up 100 of these at the gun show. They are a 240 gr. jacketed soft point/hollow point type bullet
and don't see them listed by Speer currently.
They look to be the 4453 bullet and Speer is on the bag.

Anyone use these bullets and how did they perform expansion/penetration wise at 1000 FPS or so?
I have load data for them in my Speer and Lyman books.

Well had a chance to test these today and saw 1020 FPS thru my S&W 69 with 4.2 barrel.
Powder load was 10 gr. of Unique and in the water jug test the bullet stopped in jug 6
with .500 diameter expansion.
Felt recoil was mild and about right for the smaller size Model 69 five shooter.

Might also work well at a higher load in a rifle with more expansion.
