These are the first HP bullets I've cast. The mould is a MiHec 432-256-Keith. I used straight air cooled wheel weight alloy at 'bout 800 degrees. I probably cast for 20 minutes before I found the right "spot".
Some say it's hard to cast with an aluminum & brass mould side by side but I rotated this mould with another to make these from the same alloy.
I began casting in 1973. I went to the LGS for a 38 mould. Looking through the stock they had I chose the Lyman 358429 thinking that is what a bullet should look like. Finding it was a Keith bullet I began reading anything I could find about the 'man'. So Mr. Keith seemed to think the solid version was really enough so I stuck with the solids all these years. :lol:
