Friend of mine,he is 72, told me he had some old ammo his father had and wanted to see it go to a good home as he is not into guns.
So I took a look at it... a 1000 round military ammo can marked as M1911 Ball.
Inside were five 30 round M-1 Carbine magazines loaded with ammo, one being a hard wall SEY mag and the others the split wall? Some marked SEY and M2.

Also a couple of 10 round stripper clips with M1 Carbine ammo for reloading magazines. These bullets have orange paint dab on bullet nose. Found out it is M27 Tracer ammo on stripper clips.

5 boxes of M1911 .45 ammo WRA 22482 from 1966 Viet Nam era.

7 unopened boxes of 7.63 pist.p A 0515 V "Broom Handle" ammo.. the small 2 inch square tan boxes.

4 boxes of British 9mm ammo H2585 Mark 1Z I.S.A.A. small 20 round boxes.

Other items were old Remington .380 ammo green box and box of S&W 32 Long ammo.

Any ideas on the value of this small collection? The M1 magazines are in excellent condition no rust.

Found I had left more on the table and stopped by to pick up 120 rounds of M1 Carbine ammo in the 10 round clips..2 per bandolier pouch.

Good excuse to look for a nice M1 carbine!

It is the Crosman M1 carbine air rifle. The early ones had the nice wood stock which looks better than the one on my Ruger Mini-14.
I got it for Christmas of '65 or '66 and it still shoots very well...hey made in the USA!

You slide the bolt back to load about 20 BB's and cock by sliding barrel back and then forward.
Extra ammo carried in the detachable magazine which was often lost.
I hear where the original magazines are worth as much as the rifle!
