I've had this so long I forgot where it came from. It's plenty big enough for the largest Ruger revolvers made, as my 9.5" Single Six has plenty of wiggle room. Been cleaning out the office last few days and ran across it. Trying to decide whether to sell it or keep it, but can't find any info on it. Have done some looking online and not seeing one like it at the moment anywhere. Hoping one of the collectors will have the scoop cus I'm drawin a blank. It's got a removable bean bag bed and the key is in what looks like a Ruger manilla small parts envelope beneath it.

I seem to recall they were a case for a certain model of Vaquero. Look at the double gun case in pictures.

.

It looks like a factory case, from the now defunct Ruger Design Studio.

OK. Anyone remember or actually have price sheets left over from these. I think I can remember seeing these advertised but can't remember if it was a paper flyer or online or both.

The best way to find out what it's worth today (not whenever) would be to place it in a widely-viewed guns-only auction (website), to learn exactly how much somebody would be willing to pay for it.

Thanks, but I'm content to just see what the guys on here know for now.

Do you know what type of wood it is? I’m assuming solid wood and not particle MDF or something.

As an honest value, I’d put it somewhere around the same price as a set of Ruger Stag Grips. Simply because it’s in the same ballpark as an “accessory.”

Not to be snide, but I’m sure you have a price in mind. What are you thinking?

What I do know is that it's worth exactly how much somebody is willing to pay for it, and not a cent more.

Anything else is IMO speculation...….

Kevin,

I put this note out because I don't know. There are guys on here a lot older than me, and or who've been dealing in Rugers longer than me with MUCH more knowledge, so I'm hoping someone will know the history on it. I've done some looking online, and found this style of case for sale, but not this size, and not a Ruger one. When I sell things I like to know what I'm selling first if the item is of any value. If you'd like to make an offer, you're more than welcome to as far as I'm concerned, but I'm not out to dodge forum rules. I'm just looking for some history before I even go there.

Thanks,
Brian

I have seen a few different sets in a very similar case. I believe there is even a fairly new set with a Mark 4 and a knife that I saw recently in a LGS.

If you see that mark IV and knife set again I'd love to see a pic. I think I saw someone put that set in the classifieds but no pics.
