Finally got a "good " phone call....surgeon just called and wants to see me tomorrow...PET scan yesterday
results showed no other spots other than the original breast cancer. Told him he could cut today if he wanted to but he is doing surgery on others today. So thanks for all the prayers and kind thoughts....seems like they worked. God is good!
Now keep in mind it could happen to you.....or others in your family ....don't say to yourself like I did: it will go away...maybe yes, maybe no.....

Thank you God.

A classmate in graduate school 15+ years ago was a male breast cancer survivor. He was doing well at the time. I hope yours responds well to treatment and will certainly lift you up in prayer tonight.

update; met with surgeon this afternoon and he scheduled surgery for two weeks from tomorrow for complete mastectomy....figures to go get all of it and lymph nodes as well.
Still waiting for last hormone test to determine if and how much chemo I will need. Not much hopefully. His comment was that all would be well and healed in four weeks. We shall see!
Thanks for thoughts and prayers/

Well someone shot my optimism full of holes yesterday...that someone was my oncologist with the news that he finally got the last of the tests back...the hormone tests...and they were NOT good. So my choice(?) is either chemo first NOW or surgery NOW AND chemo later...either way I am not getting out of chemo....and radiation later. I kinda want this stuff out but the DR's are thinking chemo first is the thing to do.....but all the testing is done with it on women and there is not enough on men to really know...sooooooo......
at this point I just don't know which evil I want....I was really pumped the other day thinking in 4-6 weeks all this would be over and life would be back to 'normal'.....guess that is not going to happen.
Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts. I really appreciate them.
