That picture could have been taken at our house in Kotzebue or Juneau! Life became easier when we moved to Juneau and I had a 12hp tracked snow blower.

This is northeast Maryland. The real snowblower is just out of sight. It was covered and positioned just to the right in the photo and was buried. We had to dig it out prior to use.

That's funny. Kinda like leaving the lawn mower in the yard. :D

We kept ours in the garage. Also my 3/4 ton had a blade and I parked it in the garage facing the door so I could get one good pass down the drive way the easy way. The blower was for the sidewalk and edging the driveway. Usually by the time I got done the grader came by and threw a fine 4' berm across the end of the driveway. That had to be cleared right away before it froze together into a solid piece of ice. After the city fired that grader driver and hired one who had the sense to turn the blade away from driveways life was easier and I could get up half an hour later to go to work.

Actually it was covered and about six inches from the bottom of the porch/walkway. We just had to dig to it. If it had been in the garage it would have been a LOT more digging involved prior to use. Our garage and home are not connected.

I just want to know if anybody has had the cajones to tell this one to "The Boss".

As an aside, I had surgery on my left hand last January, and "The Boss" cleared the driveway (3 cars wide, 70' long) by herself 3 times before I was healed up enough to do it..... but I had to start the blower each time; even with electric start, she couldn't master "prime, choke, 1/2 throttle, start".

Actually I DID show this to my better half. She laughed. With my COPD I cannot function too long in the cold. I too start the blower and clear a little them get myself back inside to warm up then repeat the process.
I have a young neighbor that we made a pact with; he can use our snowblower if he clears our walkway and driveway. Great trade off.

I actually never had to give my wife a shovel. She often had to shovel our walk and driveway in Juneau when I had to go to work early. If it was snowing the part I'd cleaned would pile up in a few hours to the point it had to be shoveled again. For some weird reason she preferred using a shovel over using our snowblower.
