Does anyone have one of these or handled one? Any info on quality? If I had the extra cash to spend I think I would own one. :) Kahr Arms owns Thompson and Auto-Ordnance now and apparently put out some decent firearms.
Pictures on link below.

The “Trump 1911” starts as a 5” Thompson Custom 1911, chambered in .45 ACP. Its slide and frame are stainless steel, with Thompson medallion inlaid wood grips. The pistol features combat sights, full length guide rod, high sweep beavertail, skeletonized trigger, checkered front strap, and match grade barrel. Engraved on the right side is “Donald J. Trump” with the number 45, and the Seal of the President of the United States. On the left side is a picture of President Trump, the White House, and his slogan “Make America Great Again”. The United States flag is engraved on both sides of the dust cover.

Dust cover???? Never knew there was a dust cover on a 1911..... didn't show one in the picture, either, so I still don't know where it is.

I think they need a proof reader.

I think they’re talking about the front part of the frame, toward the pistol’s muzzle, that encloses the recoil spring and recoil spring plug.

Yeah.... that's where they have the flags, but it's the frame, not a "dust cover". Here are a couple dust covers....

If it were I looking for a 1911 up grade I'd look at Jesse James 1911s.
He makes some nice stuff! ps

They have the union in the incorrect position on the right side of the frame. When the flag is displayed on a flat surface, the union should be at the top left.

The American Flag in that position it is in,
represents going into War.

Your just lucky it's not upside down!

"Dust cover" is John Browning's part name for the fwd part of the frame of the 1911.
From a design standpoint, it is extended from the rails & recoil block (where the recoil spring impacts), and has no other purpose than to keep dirt from fouling the recoil action.

Yes, I noticed that, kinda ruins the whole gun for me.

Agree......

It may not pivot or slide, but it's still referred to as a dust cover. OTOH, the dust cover is not where the flag is located, but there still is a dust cover present.

Nothing against Trump but it is too blingy for me. I don't have the cash but I've been kind of lusting for a Dan Wesson Vigil. It is the cheapest pistol they make but it is still Dan Wesson through & through & I think it would go well with my old model 15-2 revolver.

If you look at a current US soldier's uniform, that is the way the American flag patch is oriented, with the union of the flag on the right side.

Blame the Air Force. They painted the flag on the right side of Air Force One that way many years ago. Their explanation is that that's how it looks when it's flying in the wind. The Army has since adopted a flag patch on the right shoulder of their combat/utility uniform, and they went the same way. So, it has become an accepted, if technically incorrect, method of displaying the flag.
