Most of the classifieds section seems to be multiple dealer listings of individual guns. Is this a normal practice on gun boards?

It varies. Some boards enforce one thread with multiple guns. Some allow single item postings.

.

Some forums either ban dealers from their classifieds, or have a dealer section for them; some do neither.

I would think that decision lies with whoever's paying for the band width......

I'm neather, I do it for the love of the guns, its called a collector. Not against the law to collect guns, sell or trade guns.

But you must follow the rules, may it be BATF rules or the Ruger Fourm Rules.

Easy stuff folks....Scott

I have purchased from folks who most likely fall into this category and I am glad they are here and able to sell or buy for whatever their reason is, I have fallen into some pretty fair deals and even things I can’t seem to find locally
Thanks guys and gals for offering such items

^^^Yep.
Some forums have so many rules I don’t ever visit them any more. This one seems to strike a good balance, to me.

Rather than try to change a place to suit me, I go somewhere else.

Guns for sale in the Classifieds section of a gun forum? Wow! Who'da thunk it?

One gun or 20, one big add or 20 small ones, who cares? The ads are for GUNS for sale! Isn't that the whole purpose?????

Only one I had problem with was S & W Forum. Their moderators don't adhere to (or are too stupid to understand) their own rules! Clear case of WHO you know, not What you know!

Most sales here are forum members regardless of whether they are dealers or not. Those who are dealers go the extra mile to get us the good deals and rare guns. Often well under street price. Great balance here.

problem with the anything goes rule is this....no matter what you may think, eventually the dealers will tempt the site owners with ad money, wiggle in and take over the site/forum and demand the market. same game play as what gunbroker did, as did ebay, as did numerous other gun sites where the little guy gets swept aside and pop ups, thread banners, & dealer links all took over and cluttered what were simple relaxing sites. its just like how roadside billboards ruined the countryside. use caution folks.
