So on the way to do some errands and I pass by our local Sheetz and note gas still 2.19 a gal and other stations in area where 2.09-2.19 yesterday.
Figure I would check out the Sheetz just 2 mile down the road being located in next county which has same or slightly cheaper gas. Get there and note 2.29 per gal. which was strange.
On way back home I figure I'll stop by the local Sheetz I passed by which was 2.19
As I start to turn in my eyes fall out when I see 2.49 now!!!!!
Tomorrow it will be something else!

Recently, on the VT side of the Connecticut River we were paying $2.75 / gal. On the other side of the Connecticut River in NH it was $2.35 / gal.

Latest con from the oil industry.

:D

Just like the "oil shortage" in the early 70s. There was NO shortage. Friend's
dad was running a service station close to I-25 in CO, at that time. He said
they topped off his tanks EVERY night. He sold as much as anyone
wanted to buy. The oil company told him not to and he said "As long as my
tanks are full every night, I'll sell everything I can." - - - They still filled his
tanks every night.

Quit your griping. I'm paying $3.49 per gallon of regular gas here.

That's an easy one! Vt. on the west side of the river are tree huggin dims! On the East side Nh. Freedom Loving Conservatives. Vt. is a beautiful State too bad who they got running it. Live Free or Die State says it all. Grew up and lived in NH for most of my life. We had border jumpers from Mass who are putting a hurt on the southern part of the state. It's really too bad.ps

Just did a 1000 mile round trip from the Portland area into Central and Eastern Washington and back. Local to me is $3.59, 50 miles SE of Portland and the lowest I saw was $2.69 on the Indian Reservation in the Yakima area. Most around the Ti-cities area were right around $3.00 + or - .10. I filled up for a surprising $2.89 on the back side of Mt Hood last night, and was smiling at the bargain. What a racket---enjoy that $2 fuel all you can out East, because we are getting bent over out here. Certainly you guys in CA must still be knocking on $4???

$3.49/gal of gas....how much for a gallon of water from inside the same station?

Yep just paid the same an hour ago. But most of it is taxes either directly at the pump of during transportation and refining. We need a prop 13 type tax revolt on gas taxes. That would scare the heck out of Sacramento.

Last week it was 2.369 around Zephyrhills, FL; a penny or two cheaper in some parts of Tampa;
This week we are up to $2.499; Add 25-35 Cents per gallon for each step up in Octane rating.

Sam's has regular for $2.189 in west Jacksonville. Just 1 mile up the road Raceway and Gate have it for $2.499. Doesn't make any sense!

East coast prices will probably go up since the Philadelphia unit, that had the fire, is closing permanently.

Hi,

I was in CA's Central Valley, about an hour and a half south of Wolfsong, over the weekend. Topped off in Bakersfield on the way home. Bakersfield was (is?) the heart of Central California's oil industry for decades, and their gas has typically been lower priced than most other places along Hwy 99. $4.099 for that stop!

$3.799 is cheapest I've seen in my neighborhood since I got back.

One of the news reports I saw said the Philly plant is the largest refinery on the East Coast. Is that true?

It isn't as bad as it was a few years ago. On the road between I-5 and Susanville I had to fill up at a crossroads gas station with $5.25 per gallon. Good thing I was on my Goldwing so I only had to put in five gallons.
