Great Western 357 Atomic

I recently photographed one of my Great Westerns for a forum member. Thought I'd post them here too. It's an unaltered 357 Atomic from around 1956 with matte blue finish. It looks to have been shot very little:

It's amazing how these have gone up in price. Back in the 90's you could find GWs for $200 - $250 (I paid $200 for this one back in '99).

I've heard of the Atomic, but always wondered, is it a longer case, higher pressure, or just relabeled .357 Mag, latching on to the popularity of the word in the '50's?

Nice, Lee! A few years ago I had a nice visit with a Gentleman whom had a few G.W.'s.......

Yes, sir, several Deputy models. Louisville, KY NRA show a few years ago.
I was in awe. A few tables to the right, however, contained the absolutely most amazing array of Ruger Bearcats I've ever seen. :D
