| I have an older stainless mini 14 and am looking for a scope mount for it. It is not a Ranch model. I also do not want any picatinny style mounts. Can anyone please suggest a scope mount for this? I would like it to be silver to match the mini's stainless finish. Thank you. |

Everything, I think, that goes on a standard mini-14 to mount a scope is going to be kind of funky....
One choice, even though it will be a little more costly is to get an ATI stock and mount a scout type scope (long eye relief) on the fore grip. |

If you are dead set against a picatinny/weaver style mount (like the Amega or Ultimak Scout rails) then you are basically out of luck. You could try one of those BSquare or Weaver side-saddle mounts but those use a Picatinny/weaver style rail as well.
You might be able to have a gunsmith find a way to drill and tap your receiver for scope mounts. If so I have not seen one that was modified in this way.
Or you can Trade for a newer Mini or Ranch rifle with the built in mounts. |

I have the B-Square type on my old mini SS and it works well ( but has picatinny rail) which is actually nice so you can adjust scope eye relief easy , and you can still use iron sites below.
But, I do wish it was cut for scope mounts like the newer models. |
