Hey Buck, I was thinking of borrowing a couple different guns for this, just to make it more fun for me. I also have a couple of Glockamolee friends, you can spot them a mile away because they walk kinda funny. Very Happy

Oh, I only have one striker fired pistol, all the rest are hammer fired and that most definitely makes me a hammerhead but there are many on this forum that own striker pistols so this doesn't keep many out.

Be that as it may, it sure keeps me out!

Merle, sorry about that but there are many matches that I can't shoot on this forum. I would have to drive more than two hours, one way to shoot a high power rifle (April match) and that range isn't worth a damn.

Well, I shot a target with my SR9 today, actually two but I'll post the better of the two. I have shot this target in the past and I do shoot it better with my CZ's but the SR9 has a quick reset and it does shoot rapid fire fairly well.

I shot this in about 10 seconds, I'm going to shoot a couple other targets with other striker fired guns later. I have a few already lined up.

I certainly understand, as I have missed out on a number of matches (or at least classes of a match) in the past. Currently the only range I have access to is a 50ft indoor range; handguns & handgun caliber carbines only. I just wanted to whine a little, so .......

OK, here's my 2nd target. Tried to keep shots @ 1 sec or less. I noticed at the end of the string I was starting to look at the target instead of the front sight. Good fun and not so easy.

Apparently I had 2 tactical misses. Embarassed

edit: G**** 19C

Haven't shot for a while and nothing felt dialed. Good excuse to make time for more shooting. Wink

Let me start this out as I own one striker fired pistol, my SR9 and I figured I would shoot that the best.
I have shot thousands upon thousands of rounds through it and it has been a good gun for me.
I really don't like plastic pistols much and I own just less than a ton of metal framed hammer fired guns.
I shot warm ups on each borrowed or rented gun onto silhouettes, gradually increasing the speed, until I felt I could group well enough to shoot a match target.

The above target was shot with a Glock 17, a friends, it did group well in warm ups but the sights are off and it shoots left.

This target was shot with a brand new S&W M&P9 Pro, range buddy's, I had trouble in warm ups getting it to group well as I increased speed, this is by far the best I did with it.

Glock 19, rented, had a 10rd mag, my second mag (5 shots) started off target to the right i think, all my fault on this one for sure.

Springfield Armory XD9, another friend's gun, I tried doing better than this, I have shot that gun better in the past.

Ruger SR9c, rented, 10rd mag, no finger extension, watching the target as I pulled it in, I was shocked.

Well that's it, I think I may have overdosed on plastic. I might just go see a doctor about that. I sure hope we get some more targets posted, it really was fun.

Wow Shocked Make no mistake, Cheesewhiz can shoot a gun. This shoot is a challenge with your own gun much less a handful of borrowed/rented guns.

And I was kinda happy getting 3 in the red.Embarassed

Are you going to give shooting impressions of all this ballistic plastic Cheez?

Armed, thanks for the kind words.

I will do a report on the guns in the semi-auto section at the end of the month. I really learned a lot on this one.

Okay then so here is todays target. I didn't write it on there but both were shot at 50 feet using Federal Champion Ammunition pistol is a XD-40. Shots were at less than 1 second intervals.

I have been out of work for a while. I had went to the hall to get a referral for a job yesterday. Got the referral & all pertinent information & left thinking everything was taken care of. I was in Barnesville GA at my Father in Laws about to start shooting when I got a phone call that I had to come back to Atlanta to take a drug test so I just pounded the target out real quick, jumped back in the truck & high tailed it back to Atlanta. We were supposed to be starting work on Wednesday. Today I found out that the place that administered the test lost paperwork & now we are starting work on Monday. Kinda messed me up yesterday but it will be good to get back to work for a while.[/img]

Nice shooting Mike, were both targets shot with the same gun?

I added a prize to the match, it's tactical looking and not too shabby.
