I wanna FN 5.7. I bet it would make this contest cake.
Don't have any strikers yet. Heck, I don't have anything but wheelguns yet. |

I added a prize to the match, it's tactical looking and not too shabby. |
Yep the XD is my only striker fired pistol. I just shot a second one because I was stressed & trying to get on the road when I shot the first one (the 3 complete misses embarassed me-I had to do better than that).
Edited to add: I went back & looked apparently there were only 2 complete misses. I don't know why I was thinking 3. _________________ GeorgiaCarry.orgMember

A little off-topic, but...
I couldn't help but note the prize picture and the item called a "junky gun."
It appears to be a CZ P-01 in 9mm. I'm in the market for a 40 cal and CZ has really caught my eye.
I handled my first CZ this past Sunday in a store. It was a full-size 75b in 9mm, and I was blown away by the fit and finish, the fine ergonomics, the great balance.
The other semi-autos I've owned are an early production P-89 (still have it), and a S&W 39 (sold long ago). The 39 was darned accurate, but very pissy about the ammo it would eat. The P89 isn't so accurate, but it'll eat anything and has never jammed or failed to fire.
Anyway, what do you think of your CZ?
I'm particularly interested in two things:
1: Out-of-the-box accuracy, and
2: Reliability, longevity.
Thanks. |

This match is for striker fired guns, the 5.7 is an internal hammer fired SA pistol, making it not eligible for this match. _________________ "Toujours Prêt" |

Cheese .. I finally caught up with one of my friends today at the range who had an old XD9 in his range bag. After taking a few practice shots to check out the trigger and sights (hated the trigger), I shot the following rapid fire target (I wasn't about to waste another 15 rounds on a 2nd target ). Served to remind me why I'm a stubborn old "hammer head"

AZ ... The computer pad said 50', but I guess it could have been 49.5' or 50.5' (I didn't get the tape measure out) . The POA was spot on in my test shots, so even with that awful trigger I should have been able to keep them in the red (even my old eyes can still see a 4" red dot at 50') _________________ "We will always remember. Buck, that's a nice target. Boy, it sure seems only a few have the "stuff" to post a target on this match. You guys are great. _________________ "Toujours Prêt" |

Cheese ... I was hoping that we would see a fair bit of competition this month with all of the SR9 and SR9c guys & gals out there (kind of disappointing )

AZ ... I generally shoot twice per week and work alot on my trigger control as well as doing a significant amount of live fire (double & triple tap) exercises from the draw which helps me re-aquire my target zone pretty quickly after each shot. _________________ "We will always remember. Greetings,
I thought I'd let the puppy off the porch & see how he did running with the big dogs.
It is a Mauser M1914 in 32 ACP. It's rather large, but still a pocket gun. Since I painted the front sight white, at least I can see it.
Now if I can just remember how to use photobucket....
