I first became familiar with Buck Knives back in around 1969. I worked for 4 years in a Coast to Coast franchise hardware store, one of the biggest in the Midwest and I loved selling guns and sporting goods. We had a Buck Knife display case and sold lots of knives, they made great Christmas...
I have never counted how many knives I own, gotta do that. Anyway, I'm gonna guess somewhere around 40 give or take. Anyway, I only carry two daily, a Swiss Army Cadet and a small Swiss Army with nail file, toothpick, tweezers etc.
I'm gonna put a plug in for the Hi-Viz front sight. I put one on my 5 inch bbl GP100 and love it. It has replaceable color pipes, red, green, and white and my preference has been for the red. It really pops and shows up well.
I don't have a Wrangler but I do own a blued steel Single-six. I stripped the black paint off of the grip frame with just paint remover and some metal polish to make the grip frame a high gloss finish. The grip frame now looks very nice. My only surprise when I did this was there were some...
Actually I've just about got this disease cured. I'm gonna turn 79 next week. None of my grandkids have much interest in guns, my daughter has no interest, and my son has casual interest but nothing to the extent that I've always had. I reduced my collection by probably 40 % and now don't...
No, my wife has no interest in carrying, but that girl has one thing in her favor, she can scream and yell loud enough to pierce your eardrums. You might steal her purse, but you would be deaf for a month or two. o_O o_O
If a person makes the decision to carry a .22 handgun, I can see the advantages of a double-action revolver. In the case of a FTF the next round is only a trigger pull away. However, if one wants a semi-auto handgun, one I always liked is the Beretta model 21 Bobcat. It has a nice stout...
Just sharing the experiences one of the GP100 revolvers that I bought new. When I bought it, I had looked the revolver over, and swear that I cycled the action several times, but when I got it home I found an issue. When I cocked the revolver in single action mode, when I pulled the trigger it...
I think I own 3 knives made in China, and they are surprisingly nice for the money. However, I don't plan on buying any more. I'm old enough that I don't "need" more knives, and if I feel I must they will be made in the USA.
Oh my, that is a nice one. It's good to see that Ruger still can get it right. I had a similar experience on my 2015 Single-six, I was astounded at how good the blue finish was on mine. Will look forward to your range report after you shoot your Super Blackhawk.
