I know this is not a ruger but I need some help. When firing the top barrel the gun starts to break
open. The spring for the release lever seems a little weak to me. I have the gun disassembled but
I cannot figure out how to remove the stem under the release lever so i can check out the release...
I am really a revolver guy but I have owned several striker fired pistols.
My question is why do so many people like striker fired pistols?
I have never owned a hammer fired pistol but have dry fired a couple and
the trigger seems so much easier. I must be missing something here, but could
it...
Thanks for your reply.
I am going to have to dump mine and start over.
I have 60 cases sitting on the bench with 3.1 grs. in each one.
I think that I got that for a round nose cast bullet and after looking at that DEWC I thought to myself that bullet is going to be way to deep. Rugers are strong...
I can not find any information on seating depth for 32 caliber DEWC bullets.
I will be reloading 32 H&R magnums with 98 grain DEWC bullets from
Missouri Bullet Co. and 3.1 grains of Bullseye.
Thank you for any replies.
Bob
Hoping for a 32 mag. but would settle for a 38/357.
Even a 30-30 would be useful.
They wouldn't have to breath very hard to put new life into the Marlin lever gun.
Marlins are so popular around here that you rarely find one for sale and if you do they are like
$750.00 on up.
After digging deeper into this 410 double I discover that it doe's have mechanical means to retract the fireing pins. The gun has been refinished and is clean as a pin inside. I think the cocking plunger has been replaced and it doe's not contact the cocking lever soon enough. The cocking...
Really nice old double barrel, bought at an estate sale. After firing I have to break over my knee to get it open. Firing pins are not retracting. After removing the stock I find that there are no hammers and no mechanical means to retract the firing pins. The firing pins protrude from the...
Wish I had thought of something like that because when I started I could not even detect the holes and when I finished I had two holes about half the diameter of the screwdriver shaft. Oh well at least my stock is tight now.
Bob
Thank you Highstandard and Woodperson, I did find the soft spots and removed the pad.
I was not pushing hard enough the first time.
I was able to tighten my stock.
Thanks again.
Bob
Hope you don't mind question about an Ithica.
Bought model 37 at an auction yesterday, it's in pretty good condition overall, but the stock is loose.
It has a red ventilated recoil pad, a white spacer and a black spacer and I cannot find any holes for screws, so I am assuming
that it is glued...
Does anyone know if ruger currently manufactures one like this or is
it a model from past manufacture?
I have not been able to find any info. on a single action like this.
Thank you for any information.
