For precise target shooting I prefer plain black front and use a carbide lamp to remove all glare. For a field pistols or my daily carry revolver I use red fiber optic sights either HiViz or my own manufacture. I get on target quicker and I can follow the sight during recoil and recovery better...- wheelguner
