    GP 100 44 Special, Model 1770

Been thinking of getting one of these 5" blued GP100 .44's myself. I'm torn between the full or half lug, but am leaning towards the full lug barrel. Not sure why, but I've always really liked the look and feel of a full lug double action revolver. I checked with my LGS today about both, and the...

Ruger KRB-22AW Stainless Steel Bisley Single-Six!!!!

AFAIK, these were a special run for Sports South. Sports South is the main distributor that my LGS uses. He finally managed to get me one of these a couple weeks ago. Its currently on layaway. I'm not sure how many were produced.

Ruger rings won't close over scope

That's been my experience with pretty much all of the scope rings I've ever tried. I've mounted more than my share of scopes, and I always try to achieve an even gap on both sides of the ring. I'm just picky like that, but it does look much better. Glad you got it taken care of.

    Guess I'm a nitpicker

I'd say I'm not really a nit picker, but I do expect at least an effort from the factory to fit and finish a new gun. No matter the maker. My most recent Ruger purchase was a Flattop SS Bisley .44 special. It had various fit and finish problems. I called Ruger CS, explained the situation, and...

    LIpsey's Bisley SS flat tops

Nice. I've grown quite fond of mine, but still haven't figured out how to post pics of it. Enjoy.

WTB .357 Bisley (Got One, Thanks)

Booshog, considering that is an early production fluted cylinder Bisley, I'd venture a guess that is a great price. It looks to be in very fine condition from the pics. If only Ruger could/would fit and finish new ones this nice nowadays. Look at the overall fit and finish of the gun, and...

WTB .357 Bisley (Got One, Thanks)

I just looked and found exactly one on Gunbroker. It has 5 bids so far, with 2 days 22 hours left. Current bid is $525. Shipping is $30. I have absolutely no affiliation with this seller/auction or anything like that. Just ran across it browsing GB a couple days ago, and then saw this post. Hope...

    Gp-100 5" 44sp

Nice pic Contender. I'd sure like to add one of those to my collection, but funds won't permit at this time.

Ruger Super Blackhawk RUS47N-Retro, Model 0820

Ale-8, no special packaging or documentation that I saw. Just different grips, and a different model number sticker on the gray plastic Ruger box. I didn't notice anything else out of the ordinary. I plan on installing Hogue rubber grips on mine, and using it as a dedicated hunting revolver. I...

    Gp-100 5" 44sp

Actually, I'm quite happy that Ruger is starting to offer more blued revolvers. With my recent experience of poor polishing and fit and finish on 2 new stainless Ruger single actions, I'm starting to lean more towards blue ones. The recent blued Ruger's I've looked at were fit and finished quite...

    Gp-100 5" 44sp

Looks good. I'm surprised that they are blue finish, but not disappointed at all. I had heard a longer barreled version was in the works, but expected stainless. I'm fine with blue, and look forward to checking one out.

Ruger Super Blackhawk RUS47N-Retro, Model 0820

Chet15, I would be glad to if I had it in hand. Its on layaway right now. They are the same grips that are on the linked Lipseys listing.

Ruger Super Blackhawk RUS47N-Retro, Model 0820

The same(except for the grips) Super Blackhawk model #0802 would be priced at $629.95+ tax at the same store. They might cut just a bit off of that, but it would still be probably around $610+ tax at best. So, basically a $150 discount, with nicer grips to boot. Win win in my book. Funny thing...

    Bisley 454

I've owned both the Bisley 454 and 480. I currently have neither. If I were going to buy another, no question it would be the 480. I do wish that there were more options for component bullets. Even then, the components and factory ammo are much more expensive than .44 mag or 45 colt. I still...

Ruger Super Blackhawk RUS47N-Retro, Model 0820

Ale-8, as far as I know, the grips are the only difference. As best I could tell, they aren't laminate grips. I guess that in itself required a different model number. At any rate, both guns I looked at were fit and finished very nicely. Too good of a deal to let slip by.
