Ruger American or (?) in 6.5 Grendel?

I have a Ruger Predator 20” in 6.5Grendel. Mostly shooting steel case Wolf with E-Lander, CPD & ASC mags. The ASCs are the 15 round straight mags. They get kinda stubborn over 12 rounds but work. CPDs chamber the smoothest. VERY good accuracy compared to my ARs, very light recoil.

    MAG-20 300 BO

I have a Ruger Mini-14 in .300bo and run Ruger factory .300bo 20s, std. Ruger factory 10round 5.56 and Original Equipment brand 20s & 10s. No difference whatsoever. Some .300bo AR mags are SLIGHTLY different internally to help run loads with short stubby projectiles but I’ve never had trouble...

Trouble sighting in my bushnell "Dusk and Dawn' banner optic

If you’re using a laser boresighter that inserts into the crown end of the barrel, try rotating it 360. In a perfect world, your dot should just rotate, not move. Most will trace out a circle. That’s how far out it is. Between scope, mounts or boresighter, I’d suspect the boresighter first...

did ruger ever make a 22 short mk1 or mk2?

Some Old High Standard pistols came with an extra .22short mag, probably back when shorts were more plentiful. But even tho HS is supposed to run std. velocity only, I’ve never seen or heard of an unmodified HS cycling std. velocity shorts reliably.

    15 & 25 shot 10-22 mags

For me, my 10 rounders feed just about anything, not so with bigger mags including the BX-15 that came with my Charger. Now with most ammo, it’s fine, and has had way more rounds thru it over the flush 10s. Tried putting forward & backward pressure on it just to see if a shim might help but not...

    Mini 14 StripLULA

I have one for my .300bo Mini, works well, would recommend it. I’ve used it with both GI metal strippers and Thermold plastic strippers. Seems to feed smoother with Thermolds although the GI strippers are better made. Of course, the downside is when you factor in the time to pre-load the...

Ruger ranch rifle magazine problems .

Not sure about the bolt but if your Ranch has the modular insert for either rotary or AR mags, the Ruger kit for $20 is a drop in replacement, that’s all you need. The 1st gens that only had the rotary mags may have a different bolt from the 2nd gens with modular mag wells. I think Boyd’s makes...

Off the wall question: 357 Sig caliber rifle (Arrived!)

I run a Glock g32 (357 Sig) in a RONI brace, it’s pretty accurate out to 50 yards for a pistol caliber. I also run a TNW Aero carbine in 10mm, which is available in .357sig in carbine & pistol form. My 10mm can be converted to .357sig with a new barrel which is swappable by hand. Bolt &...

    American 7.62x39 with AR mags???

If it can be done, let us know. I’m in the same boat, I have an AR in 7.62x39 and a RAR in .300bo (AR mag version) and would pick up another in 7.62x39 if it could be converted. I also have a Mini and most of my mags are factory Ruger @ $30-$40 a pop, the only cheap mag that works reliably for...

PC Carbine in .357 SIG, Any takers ?

Well I certainly won't argue that 10mm is probably the smarter choice today over .357sig, I shoot way more of that. But as a sister cartridge to .40 it was available in some really good compact handguns. More than 10mm anyways. Take Glock, they use their medium frames for .40 & .357 but the...

PC Carbine in .357 SIG, Any takers ?

I was told .357 was a necked down 10mm case. Since the .40 is just a shortened 10mm I guess it doesn’t matter, chicken or the egg. I just liked the concept of a bottlenecked cartridge, kind of a domestic 7.62x25 cartridge. Of course, there’s a lot of ‘dead’ calibers that are still available...

PC Carbine in .357 SIG, Any takers ?

As a g32 owner, I'd like to see that too. I like my little .357sig pistol, when .40 started to wind down it took a lot of .357sig fans with it. I mounted my G32 in a Roni STAB brace, awesome performance from a very small & light setup. I also have a TNW ASR carbine in 10mm, I need to break down...

    Mini 30

Don’t forget the Mini in .300bo if you want .30cal fun. Mine’s been great. There’s more energy in 7.62x39 but I think the bullet selection for .300bo is better if you’re not reloading. From what I’ve read there’s no guarantees a mini 30 is gonna run all brands of steel case ammo. In ARs...

    6.5Grendel

I just recently got in to 6.5 Grendel with two ARs and looked close at the RAP in 6.5G but I thought the same, why the larger platform when there’s already a Predator in 6.5 Creedmore? I personally think it was just cheaper to rechamber the 6.5 Creedmore for Grendel than to do it right and use...

    folders

Samson has a clone of the original factory folder coming out soon. So far they've only posted one pic of a prototype but I think the teased price is $250. From an article on TheFirearmsBlog recently. No idea what it'll wind up being, but I have a Samson magwell on my 9mm Shield and it's well...
