    S/W Mod # 29-3 "Silouette Gun" 10.5in barrel, SOLD

Thank you for your prompt response! I do think they had a special rear sight to match that front sight. I am checking for a friend who wants one and as you know these revolvers are a bit scarce. I'll let him know whats up and may get back to you. Thanks again.

Hi there, do you have the original rear sight?

    ID'ing drop pouches for .357 magnum & .38 special

Galco has or had a model I like. It holds the cartridges two at a time when you drop the flap down so you don't have to fumble with six loose ones. You just pull out two at a time. For a klutz like me it works.

    10/22 50th Anniversary Rant

I finally pulled the trigger on a 50th Anniversary International. Always wanted a International and with walnut stock for $299.00 I think a good deal. Had the counter guy bring out three (that's all he would bring out) and picked the nicest wood. I must admit the rest of the offerings did not...

WHY IS IT ALWAYS 5.56 NEVER .308

I probably would but as I have a Navy Trophy M1 Garand in 7.62 NATO that works and shoots quite nicely, it suits my needs. If not I would certainly have checked into one.

Have you ever worn out a barrel?

Most "shot out" rifle barrels just need a good cleaning, paying attention to removing copper accumulation. A quick cleaning with Hoppes Number 9 is not going to do it. With that said I used my Colt H-Bar Match Target in IPSC rifle and then Three Gun match's with a SGW Ultra Match stainless...

    Lightweight Commander magazines

Number all of your 1911 mag's then keep a log of what number mag work in your gun's. If you have multiple 1911's this really helps. Wilson 47D's seem to work fine in most and for some odd reason the Chip McCormick's work well in almost all of my 1911's. Just bought one of the new Colt...

    Scout rifle accuracy

For some odd reason mine "with forward mount Burris 2.75X Scout" prefers 165gr bullets over the 150's. It struggled to get one inch at 100 yards "sand bagged" off the bench". Just fer grins I tried Sierra 165gr GameKings, better, played with powders and wound up with Varget. It shoots my normal...

    Empty brass to face

Just to toss in another idea, what pound recoil spring is in your's? A too heavy spring for the load used can slow down the slide enough to give stange ejection patterns with all else being ok.

    .45 flattop grip change

Wish I could post pictures here but cannot. Anyhoo, I put a set of Elk stag's on my Flat Top .45. Methinks I'm a bit biased but it looks great.

New to me .44 Mag Redhawk obrservations and question

Why yes, yes they are, I cannot believe I actually typed that! My only defense for such a brain dead statement is that the offset bolt slots made the cylinder look a bit odd and a healthy dose of cold medicine, ya know the ones that say don't drive and operate on a web site whilst taking this...

New to me .44 Mag Redhawk obrservations and question

Hi all, last September/October I bought a NIB SS 1981 vintage 7 1/2" Redhawk in .44Mag, only had it out to shoot twice before I blew my left knee out and ended my shooting season, I am rather happy with it's accuracy with my loads using the Lyman 250gr 429421 at (clocked about that in my 50th...

    New 50th ann. 10/22 International

Indeed, I have heard good things about the Appleseed project! Most of my trouble these days are neurological in nature, a palsy that makes your hands shake when you concentrate on doing something with your hands rather than shaking at rest. It's at a low roar at the moment but does make trigger...

    New 50th ann. 10/22 International

Hey there, If it will shoot into 1 3/4" to 2.0" at 50 yards off the bench I could live with that. My off hand rifle shooting skills these days are not so hot anymore so I suppose I shouldn't be picky!
