    Opinions needed - SR9 vs. SR9c

I would stroke out and fall over if my wife would even think out loud about buying me a gun for any occasion, let alone actually go out and buy one. Mrs. Bsdouglas - your husband is a lucky man ! All recommendations listed above have merit. I would go ahead and purchase the KSR9C and if he...

    Lipsey's Exclusive : Ruger 45 Colt Flattop 5.5"

I know this has been discussed by all at one time or another, however until this morning I have not had the opportunity to handle (fondle would be a better word I reckon) one. Wow - are they ever nice ! What a fit ! I know they will not shoot the full house 45 loadings safely, but will handle...

    New Blackhawk Bisley

I've pondered over this model for some time...............are there still any new ones to be had ?

    Ruger M77/357 MAG.

I just handled one for the first time at a gun shop that was on the rack. It had a wonderful "feel" to it. I've read mixed results regarding accuracy, so I'm sitting on the fence for a bit. It would be a nice match for my KGP-160 .357 revolver.

    Gunsite Scout Rifle.......gone....

You are certainly going to notice a difference in recoil between a short barreled .308 and a short barreled 45/70. The 45/70 Guide Gun is a nice gun.

    1894C, 357/38SP, NIB. need price/info

If your Marlin was made by Marlin ( before Remington bought Marlin ), you will find the letters "JM" on the barrel, just in front of the receiver. If it is a newer model, made by Remington, then I believe you'll find the letters "REM". You might want to check with "Marlinownersforum.com" in the...

    77/44 blues

OK....here we go, Brian Pearce is the author ; "Initially the .44 magnum gave rather disappointing accuracy, with 75-yard groups hovering around 3-6" with factory loads and handloads. Guard screws were tightened to specifications, the barrel cleaned with all copper removed and fired again, but...

    Yard Sale Find

No doubt a very good buy ! An acquaintance stopped by a garage sale ( 1975 ) and walked away with a Parker s/s shotgun for $20. Apparently - there are still some deals to be had.

    77/44 blues

I don't own one of these rifles, however - I just bought the "July, 2012" copy of "Rifle" magazine andBrian Pearce has authored an article about Ruger 77/44's and 77/357's. He discussed accuracy issues he also had and what he did to correct them. FYI....... Regards, Vic

    Yard Sale Find

My family has a Winchester Model 90 22 LR that my grandfather bought new. It is in very good condition and is a pleasure to hold and shoot. Certainly a family heirloom for sure. My brother ended up with it and I ended up with a Model 12, 20 gauge when these family firearms were passed down...

    Yard Sale Find

Go to a used firearms bluebook when you have a chance. Based on your guesstimate of 85% ( I'd put this percentile in a "good" category ), I'd say it may start somewhere around $700. A pic or two would help. Regards, Vic

Ruger, ultra light, whitetail classic ??

It appears Davidsons has a pretty good inventory of these ultra light rifles, however - they are not the "whitetal special" specifically. http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/Default.aspx?item=37182&mfg=Ruger&mdl=M77+Hawkeye&cat=2&type=Rifle&cal=7MM-08&fin=&sit=&zipcode=54742

    Lipsey's RSI Rifles

Personally - I prefer the RSI model in the short action calibers ( and the 358 is ). I've always thought the 6.5-08 ( a.k.a. the 260 REM ) would be a great rifle.
