If you need pics, please let me know. Apparently photobucket is now charging to host pictures? In any case, I can send them to serious buyers.

    Make racking slide easier?

I would caution anyone who carries something with a lighter trigger pull (less than the standard 10+ pound traditional DA) in a pocket without something covering the trigger guard. It might be unlikely to cause a problem, but I always carry in a holster made of relatively stiff material when...

    Opinion about selling pistol

Thanks for the advice, folks. I've bought and sold a ton of guns over the years... they come and they go. The ones that I miss the most are the ones that can't be replaced like when I sold my P7M8 or Beretta Billenium. Other guns can always be "re-bought" if I find myself in that position...

    Opinion about selling pistol

The taxman cometh. I'm considering selling one of my RAPs... specifically a mint condition RAP9c. One thing I'm considering however is what to do about the sights. It's currently wearing Ruger factory Novak Trijicon night sights. These things were a b**tch to install because the factory...

Finally - a new pistol for the military

Do you have a citation of a legit source for what you are saying so the rest of us can educate ourselves? How did a foreign company "force" the United States government to select the Beretta? And what is the meaning of "the left" trying to get a Beretta contract to "make a buck"? And how is...

    Ruger SR9 Issue

Just be glad you don't have a SIG P320 then... because of the way there is a chassis system with that pistol, there is play between the frame rails and the "grip module" itself. If you ever get the chance to handle one of them, put your hands like your wife's are in the second pic and squeeze...

    Make racking slide easier?

As I mentioned, I probably wouldn't have gone to this extent personally, but I certainly do appreciate the fact that there are other people out there who are just as OCD as I am when it comes to guns. Good job lining up the holes. :)

    Make racking slide easier?

Keep a close eye on the gun from time to time. I put grip tape on the grip areas of my competition guns... sometimes the glue walks out from under the tape or the tape itself starts to move. What I would be most concerned about with how much you put on your slide is that you might have issues...

Finally - a new pistol for the military

I dare say that you're opening up a can of worms by talking about slides cracking. I mentioned that somewhere else and got into extended debates about it. I've read seemingly legit reports on both sides... stating that it was infrequent and caused by abuse as well as others stating it was more...

    Make racking slide easier?

Jesus... that must add a lot of friction to your draw and wear to the inside of the holster. If you ever take that grip tape off, your retention is probably going to be nonexistent.

Finally - a new pistol for the military

Depends... honestly, I like the RAP much more than the P320. I love the classic P-series SIGs, and have a number of them. However, I just couldn't connect with the P320 (figuratively, I mean, since it shot very accurately). There is something about the RAP that appeals to me so I have no...
