$220 is about the going rate for a new LCP since the price drop a month or so back. I would buy from a reputable dealer knows his firearms and that will also stand behind the sale.

The "s" is for striker fired, but there is no LCPs, at least not yet. There is speculation that Ruger will release an updated LCP that is striker fired at the upcoming SHOT show. Similar to how they updated the hammer fired LC9 to the striker fired LC9s. But it is only speculation at this point.

Kimber Micro, SIg P238 and Colt Mustang all great pocket 380s but definitely a different animal than the LCP/Bodyguard. Kimber, et al are twice or more the cost and are 1911 style SA only rather than the DAO action of the LCP/Bodyguard.

LCP is DAO, but it does partially cock the hammer when racking the slide. That is why it doesn't have double strike capability. Shouldn't be a problem leaving it that was for long periods of time.
