The Blazer .22s are the least accurate of any .22 LR I've shot out of my 22/45. On the other hand, the .38's worked pretty well out of my GP100. I just picked up some .38 dies so I won't be getting any more aluminum cased ammo though.

Bought my gun online on 4/26/12, test fire date shown as 4/5/12. All info on the label on the envelope looks good except it shows the numger of turns as 1 in 10.00"?? I'm sure this is supposed to be 1 in 16" as are most .45 1911s and as shown in Ruger's spec sheet. I would think this...

What are the advantages of the VQ hammer? I did get the stainless trigger but started second guessing myself as to why, I suppose I'll keep it. I did get the VQ sear too. Got an order in to Sam Lam for his bushing.

Are there any advantages for one over the other? Assume the stainless is a tad heavier and color is obvious, but what are your preferences and why?

Careful, that is a sign of a serious problem. You should send me your gun immediately and I'll send you $600 if I can't fix it. Of course, I'll have to keep the gun to work on it... :D
