Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

Personally for me, when I go shooting, which I haven't had much chance lately , I always take my Hi Power, and a SIG, and my P95. I shoot all 3 very well, but always do slightly better with my P95. Every single time....

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

Well as far as this range is concerned, explain your situation and ask if they can offer another brand that works better in your gun.....Maybe you could try a simple fix and clean it after each use with that ammo ? I have used Magtech a couple of times in my P95 and it worked ok for me. Either...

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

The P95 is an excellent gun. I love mine! Why would a range make you use one type of bullet? I guess they want to sell you the Magtech stuff? Tell them of your problem and if that doesn't help, find another range !!! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

Yes, the P95 was Ruger's first Polymer type of pistol but back in the 80's and 90''s when the P85, P85 MK11, P89, P90, P91, came out , they were all steel and aluminum framed. The P95 and the P97 were of the polymer, long strand fiberglass frames. But the original P series was all metal.

    Skeeter's Birthday.

I agree, I will never get rid of my old ones for sure as you would have a hard time getting them back. Book stores are closing left and right as everything is (on line).....They can keep that as I like to hold that magazine in my hands when I read them. Call it old school, but it is my school.

    HOWDY....AGAIN!!

Well actually it is Raining today. Haven't had any in a while. Probably will be close to the last time it will rain for a while. In case you didn't know, it doesn't rain here at all in the summer time. In the valley. None at all. Late September maybe, then October it will start. It basically...

I agree 100%. I used to like to read about odd type guns or older guns from around the world, and some were downright great. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

For a wife to ask a guy: "you are buying another gun?" ........probably most husband's have heard that for sure......it is what is, as they say...๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

    Skeeter's Birthday.

Sounds like a plan there. To be honest, I don't buy any new magazines any more. Haven't bought any for a long time. The reason why is because they are all about black plastic. Black plastic assault type weapons just don't appeal to me. Give me a lever action any day. And of course the good old...

    Skeeter's Birthday.

You know, so many times it is mentioned about the old "gun magazines" referred as the gun rags or some other derogatory expression, knocking them down. I, for one am not afraid to admit I enjoyed reading those articles. There were quite a few writers I enjoyed reading their articles on the guns...

VERY EARLY RUGER SINGLE SIX FLAT GATE #93

Funny how you have 2 letters for the same gun. Perhaps it was one of those started in Dec. 53 and then it was finished in Jan. 54 ?? That makes your gun pretty special too.....and mint. ๐Ÿ‘

VERY EARLY RUGER SINGLE SIX FLAT GATE #93

Well maybe it would be good to shoot a couple of cylinders through it before you clean it up real good for long storage or whatever. But that way, at least you can say "It shoots real good,". Why not, just don't over tighten the grips. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚. But only a couple of cylinders, that's it....๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘
