I replaced the rear sight on mine with a V notch and deepened the V quite a bit.

I have one. I like the gun except the front sight is too short. I changed the rear blade for a V notch that I cut much deeper. It's good now. Others have had the same issue with the sights.

I have both 3" and a 5". No problem with the sights on the 3". It regulated to point of aim just fine. The 5" is another story. With the same load you guys are using 7.5gr Unique and a 240gr SWC, the best I can get is 3" high at 15 yds. With 8gr Power Pistol and a 240gr SWC, I was able to get...

I had one of the original model B's. I don't remember ever having a stoppage. Wish I still had it but a guy made me a ridiculous offer and I accepted.

My grand kids are good brass hounds. To them it's like an Easter egg hunt. When the range is clean, everyone gets a root beer float. If I'm shooting on a range, other than mine, I leave the brass lay. Searching for brass takes a lot of the fun out of shooting.

For mid range target loads, I like 8grs of Power Pistol and a 180gr fmj.

Ruger made a an express sight for the Redhawk. Gold bead front and V notch rear. The show up for sale in the classified section, from time to time. I've picked up a few sets, for my RedHawks. Garry Reeder has them as well, $45.

I received the Metalform magazines from CDNN. They have removable floor plates, not welded, like the ones I got from Midway. Otherwise, they are identical. I prefer the welded version and will be ordering a few more.
