I also sent my 9 round mag back to Ruger for exchange and am having the same problem with the replacement mag. Disappointing. I'll have to check out those +1 floorplates.
I finally bought a 9 round Ruger LC9 mag and it has a great feel in the hand when used, but I've had troubles with it not seating securely. When firing, it works loose. Has anyone else had that problem?
Before getting the SR1911 I used a CZ75 BD or my SR9. I also will use 8 round mags. Thanks. I'm with you about "competing". I just love what IDPA is all about.
Ruger announced that they have come out with 9 round extended mags for the LC9, yet they aren't even listed on shopruger.com, what's up with that? Are they available anywhere?
The SR9C is a great all around gun. It's a better range gun. Versatile with short and extended mags. The LC9 is easier to conceal carry and has a completely different trigger pull than the SR9C. They are both extremely dependable. I've got SR9 and LC9 and like them both. But, I prefer to shoot SR9.
The first time I tried to take down gun I struggled with the take down button as well. I saw a youtube video of an LC9 take down and the guy showed how if you pry the plastic button out at the top while pushing down it slides very easily. I tried it an no more struggle. FYI
I purchased an LC9 last week and finally had an opportunity to take it to the shooting range today and I wanted to share my thoughts about the pistol.
I had researched the LC9 and knew that the trigger pull was long. It is, very long at first. But, after firing 100 rounds through it I quickly...
I have a new LC9. I believe it is called the slide hold open lever. When the slide is open, the lever on my LC9 cannot be released with my thumb unless I take some of the tension off of the slide. Will this get easier as the gun is used or is that just the way it is?
Thanks for the post. I'm a new member of the Forum and a new SR9 owner and I was puzzled by the same thing. I thought it was something I may have done. Thanks for enlightening me.
