I should have my SR9 back from the armorer I left it with after I installed the Rocket connector. The action was smooth but the pull weight was higher than I wanted. He was able to get the pull weight down to 4 pounds.
Will have to wait until I can drive the 100 miles to pick up the gun.
No offense taken here. We all have a different perspective and the exchange of ideas is what makes this forum exciting.
You are right about the write up giving you the expectation of a lighter trigger closer to the 3 1/2 pound range. But I don't think a factory Glock
for example, with the...
Even though my SR9 came back from Ruger at 7450 rounds with a horrible trigger (they replaced the striker and trigger bar) I installed a Ghost Rocket. The trigger was much better but still gritty. I found that the rounded end of the trigger bar had a couple of "inperfections." As the trigger bar...
Am I mistaken. I didn't think installing a 3 1/2 # connector gave you a 3 1/2# trigger. I thought there were other factors such as the trigger spring weight, firing pin spring, plunger spring, etc. and the way the parts contact each other.
Ghost makes great products but they are not the cure all...
I carry with a Galco 226 OWB every day and it is comfortable. The only problem was the price, $95. I would buy one again, except that I'm getting a Glock 19 and that is what the holster was originally designed for.
If they are trying to figure out what to do, then why do they list the Ruger
SR on their trigger applications page

I have worn a Galco Con226B for the past year and would not change under almost any circumstance. It is amazingly comfortable but cost about $95 when purchased. Now if I would just get rid of the hobo leather belt and get a good one. Well I guess it's hard to think about a belt when another 1000...
Will do. I field stripped my gun the other day. There was a lot of crud in and around the striker. I hadn't done that before. Someone on this site posted a link to Ruger's site with the video. It was so simple I should have done that sooner. I have two scheduled gun classes coming up shortly and...
I had barrel peening at 5800 rounds. Well I did have the raised lip where the slide and barrel come together. I called customer service and asked them if I filed the ridge off would it void my warranty. They said I needed to send it back.
Sent my gun back to Ruger and they replaced my barrel...
I knew what you meant. It just seems kind of funny that when I took my first CCW class all I had was my model 10 S&W. The double action was not very easy to maintain proper trigger conttrol. Now after 6000 rounds or so in the SR9 it is no problem. My SR9 trigger is pretty good but the...
