    Ruger RAP question

Thanks, gentlemen. This shop had a number of "as-is" rifles, not all of them Rugers. They had handguns, rifles, and a shotgun or two that were tagged that way. The guy told me their distributor had them as they had been sent back to the factory and that was the reason they were "as-is" firearms...

    Ruger RAP question

I was in one of the semi-local pawn shops last week and ran across a Predator in 25/06. I've wanted one of these rifles in that caliber for a while. The price was just over 300 if I recall correctly. It is new, but was being sold As Is. They said their wholesaler sold guns that had been sent...

    Early 77 flat bolt question

My mistake, Mr. Kirksey...I did ask about the sights and he had told me it did not have any. I neglected to add that and I should have. Thanks to all who helped! Eddie

    Early 77 flat bolt question

I can be kind of dense, so they started some time in '69 with the 2 digit prefix? If so, was the 1st no. with the prefix was 70-00001, or did they pick up the #'s where they left off with the nos. before the prefix started? Golferboy...that is neat. Is it known how many of the various calibers...

    twin RS international's

Just curious, what year did Nosler make the 10 gr. bullets and do you have to use a sabot? BTW...I hope one of these will be my next rifle. One of the neatest rifles Ruger has ever made IMO and can't wait to get one. Thanks for sharing. Hope you know just funnin' a little bit!

    Early 77 flat bolt question

Had a gentleman from Canada post about an early ser. # of 70-00720 on it. Says it is a flat bolt in 6mm Rem. He is puzzled because the Ruger site doesn't go down that low on the ser. #'s. I'm sure this has been discussed here, so if anyone knows of a thread that you can link to this thread I...

    M77 price and accuracy opinions

I shot an ultra light in a 270 Win for years and killed a lot of deer with it. I only stopped shooting it when I had a heart attack and bypass surgery as the recoil was a little more in the light rifle than I wanted at the time. It shot extremely well. I can't remember exactly but was right...

    What is a Ruger 77SMT?

Thanks Pete! I actually found one and have it in my hands now. The Magnum designation seems right. Thanks again-Eddie

    AK shooters? Check in here.

LOL...to show you I'm not into AK's, I thought it was calling Alaskan shooters to join in the discussion. I'm not from Alaska, but it's the one place I've never been to that I have always dreamed of going. As a kid (and beyond), I was always intrigued with the 338 Win Mag and hunting the Kodiak...

    What is a Ruger 77SMT?

I am including a link to the Weaver mount in question on GB. Looking at it the 2nd time, I see they also misspelled Ruger (Rugar). Don't know if an employee was drunk that day or what...lol. Just curious is anyone had seen this or what it might be. Guess since no one has responded, no one knows...

    What is a Ruger 77SMT?

I have found another 77ST that I would like to buy, but it has 2 problems. Someone has replaced the red pad. That's okay, I have an extra here at the house. I will just need to see if the stock had been cut off. Comparing it to a MkII they had at the LGS, it was hard to tell for sure. But the...

    What's it worth these days?

Hawkeye-sweet caliber. I have a later tang safety in the Roberts (3 digit prefix). Have it sighted in and ready for WT season. Hope to get it bloodied this year. Thanks for sharing!

    What's it worth these days?

LOL...no problem, Contender. I have no right to cast a stone. Thanks again for all the information. Hopefully I can get over there this week to look at it and see exactly what it is.

    What's it worth these days?

Thanks, Gentlemen. I had thought that I had read that Ruger shipped some with factory sights AND drilled and tapped for regular scope mounts. So I appreciate the clarification.
