    hey fellas, boy didn't this thread grow.... i listed my SER # only partially when i first posted b/c that is how we do it over on the S&W forum, never asked why... anyhow i can expand the range of the NYPD service six's a little if RENE is interested as mine is 162-40090. Regards, Rich

    um i think i count six, though my ser# is about 350 units before alex's with the same catalog # GF84NYCPD and it is DAO bobbed hammer but i have no star in my frame cutout. weird. regards, Rich

    Hey Alex, i'd give a call to that Ruger archive phone # posted by Rim Fire above, they'll give you the model # which encodes what config it was shipped in it couldn't be easier and they are sending me a letter on mine. Regards, Rich
