they way i heard it was ,if you dry fired it WITHOUT a magazine ,would cause the "click-no-bang" situation.

bought a brand new ruger .44 mag super blackhawk ,had it 6 months ,and the MIM cylinder pawl broke

recieved the newly made NON-Ruger base pin from gungarage .com from e-bay,it looks like the ruger original ,installed the base pin ,worked action ,everything worked smoothly ,the base pin locking screw worked as it should ,and the loading ram rod worked as it should ,smoothly and no hangups...
