Might try a box or 2 of the Freedom Munitions 147 grain ammo and see if your SR9 likes them. https://www.freedommunitions.com/
They're relatively inexpensive and if they work well in your gun, you can start trying your own loads.
Not sure that there's actually a wrong way, but many ways to effectively clean brass. I'm wet tumbling mine and use Armoral wash & wax with a little Lemi-Shine. That keeps them from tarnishing and don't need to use lube. And no worries about the effects of this or that chemical.
When I was in...
Like others have mentioned, it depends on why you're reloading. Since I shoot USPSA, a thousand or so at a time isn't unusual. It also depends on how my back and fingers are feeling after a couple of hours. That's using a Lee Loadmaster for 9mm.
I've shot thousands of their 9mm ammo, both new and reman. Several thousand of that was through a SR9c. I've never had any problems with it whatsoever. Quite a few of the USPSA shooters around here use it.
The only complaint that I've heard is that a few ammoload cases have separated at the...
I've tried the Blue Bullets in 147g 9mm and they shoot well. Only down side is that the coating leaves your fingers blue. Just received 2500 of the lipstick rounds from Acme. They are using new molds without the lube groove and the coating doesn't transfer to your fingers...
There is one close by, so I don't need to order online from Sportsman's. The guys at the gun counter are good at letting you know when the get their shipments, and that helps too. It's been hit or miss. I'm not really hurting for components right now, so only stop in once a week or so to check...
I just bought 2 more lbs of Titegroup at the local Sportsmans Warehouse. They still had 6 pounds left from this weeks shipment. Was $20 a pound. Also ordered another 4 pound jug of ETR7. $60 plus shipping and hazmat fee. Comes to about $26/lb total but it's an excellent powder for 9mm.
Some have used velcro, others use pieces of electrical tape to build up the magazine until the extension stays put on the mag. Pretty simple. Heck, even I can do it!
Not only did I remove the mag disconnect from mine, I also tore off all of the "do not remove" labels from my furniture. How's that for being wild, crazy and rebellious?
Oh crap, are those black helicopters I hear?
The SR9c will be just fine. I shot mine in USPA production for awhile while getting started. Practice reloads and dry fire over and over again, and then do it some more. As far as "double tap", head on over to the Brian Enos forum and absorb some of the knowledge available there. Most find out...
