    Is my load safe?

Thank you for your well thought out and helpful advice. I particularly do not like the 700x powder myself, but do want to use it up before I move on to another brand. I was thinking titegroup since it has such high reviews. As for the pressure concerns, perhaps I should back off .3 grains and...

    Is my load safe?

I'm using IMR 700x for 9mm. I am loading 3.4 grains (max) at 1.1 COL for a 127 grain lead TC bullet. Their website says 3.4 is max and COL is listed at 1.125 for the 125 grain lead TC bullet. Is going .025 under the recommended COL going to be an issue? My sr9c seems to feed better at 1.1...

    How much lube is enough?

I'm kinda of curious here. I use Lee's liquid alox stuff. Normally I put them in a container with a bit of the stuff and swoosh them around until they all have an even coat. But it doesnt fill up the lube grove or anything. Is the lube groove suppose to be filled flush? Another thing: when...

Help with Nonlisted loading data for 700x and Truncated Cone

I'm leaning more towards the OAL. Anyone know an optimal OAL for TC bullets in an SR9C? I believe I was at 1.15 Perhaps I should try 1.1 Failed to mention I also had a few Nose up jams on the ramp. After some reading, that could be indicative of too long an OAL. A long OAL would also reduce...

Help with Nonlisted loading data for 700x and Truncated Cone

I recently just purchased a lee 356 120 TC mold for casting my own 9mm bullets. I'm pushing them with 700x at the moment and plan on moving on to titegroup after this pound of 700x is done with. The bullets are truncated cone which have an actual weight of 127 grains after casting. I'm trying...

    LIQUID BRASS CLEANER ???

I bought some liquid cleaner to try and cheap out on getting a tumbler. It works pretty good, but its messy and I don't really enjoy the process. Plus you need to either wait a few days for them to completely dry or put them in the oven on the lowest setting for like a half an hour. I'm...

    Reloading and the SR9C

What do you mean by watch the taper crimp? I have it just snug enough that the bullet can twist in my fingers if I try to spin it in its casing, but strong enough that it wont push back in with thumb pressure. And I don't make my own lead bullets yet. Do I need to be lubing them if I don't?

    Reloading and the SR9C

I just began my journey into reloading 9mm for the sr9c. I bought a lee turret press classic and have already pumped out a few rounds. I'm using about 4 grains of IMR 700-x powder with 115 grain winchester FMJ bullets and primers. Anyone else reloading for their SR9C? I noticed it seems a...

    Rugar SR9C inaccuracy problem

Good news! After improving my technique, my shots were all within about 2 inches of each other at 7 yards. After moving to 15 yards, they were at about 3-4 inches. I think I just need some more practice at the range. My biggest problem I think was that I was focusing on my target. After I...

    Rugar SR9C inaccuracy problem

Thank you for all your kind replies. I should of mentioned I'm using American Eagle ammo. Its pretty much economy ammo at $14 for a box of 50. They are 115 grain full metal jacket according to the box. I've shot about 150 round though the gun already. I'm going to do as some of you...

    Rugar SR9C inaccuracy problem

First off, since this is my first post I would like to say hello to everybody. I just bought myself a Ruger SR9C to conceal carry and have fallen in love with the gun. I do seem to have a problem at the range though. I've been practicing my shots at at 7 yards, and my grouping is very spread...
