Anyone have a the AR556 MPR?

I lucked out buying my first AR at my LGS while they were having "Ruger Days", a super sale on Ruger products. The MPR had just been released. I picked my 18 inch up for just over $500. It's been solid.

    Ruger AR 556 ?

I own 2. My first AR purchase was the MPR from my LGS when Ruger ran a promotion with the intro of the MPR and the price was too good to pass on. The MPR comes with Ruger's very good 2 stage trigger so no reason to upgrade. I picked up another AR556, model #8529, a flat top version with a...

    Triggers for AR556

My first Ruger AR556 is the MPR and its trigger is good to go. But I purchased another Ruger AR556 with a stock trigger and realized how spoiled I was by the MPR. Well along came Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals just in time to snag an ALG ACT trigger at a reduced price. It was easy to...

    350 legend shoe drops

I wonder if Ruger will make complete 350L uppers available for those of us that already have the MPR in 556?

    Shooting Your AR-556

Had the MPR out yesterday. I was getting 1.5-2 inch groups at 50 yards using an inexpensive Sightmark reflex sight. My old eyes were struggling to see a nice crisp dot in my Vortex Crossfire red dot (astigmatism is pretty common). So I sold it and am looking at getting something with an...

    Shooting Your AR-556

Shot my Ruger MPR yesterday. I put 120 rounds of Fed American Eagle 556 on sight-in targets at 50 yards in an effort to zero a Vortex Crossfire Red Dot sight. I got it in the ballpark landing most shots in the 4 inch circle around the bullseye. However the gusty crosswind conditions made it...

    AR-556

Got to the range and boy am I rusty! I was able to zero the MBUS and RDS at 25 yards. I'll move to 50 yards my next trip. The MPR functioned flawlessly without a single problem using Cheap Federal Eagle 5.56 ammo. No failures of any kind and the bolt locked back on every empty magazine (a...

    AR-556

I have a NIB Ruger MPR that I have added flip up sights and a red dot to. I am hoping to get it to the range to zero those sights in the next couple weeks. I'll post again with results once that happens.

What Red Dot Scope for my Ruger AR556?

I have the Ruger MPR flat top version of the AR. I added flip up MBUIS and then recently added a the new Vortex Crossfire red dot sight. It comes with a mount that uses lower 1/3 cowitness on an AR and has not been a problem for me. It's a no frills sight but it seems built well and should be...

    Ruger LC9S ---OR--- EC9S???

I had the LC9s Pro as my EDC for a couple years. Lots of rounds thru it at thevrange too. It was so easy to carry. However, Florida's heat and humidity combined with my sweat all day long really worked on the guns finish. I no longer have that LC9s. I'd consider the EC if I could get a...

your personal most accurate 22 ammo?

I run CCI AR Tactical and Winchester M22 thru my S&W M&P 15-22. It is not a 1 MOA rifle to begin with so I am happy with 2-3 inch groups at 50-100 yards. I put a reflex sight on it and its a blast plinking indoors or out.

    AR-556 MPR

I have a S&W M&P 15-22 (22LR) for inexpensive plinking and as a trainer for the AR platform. But I did not have an AR in 556/223. So I had my eye on the Smith Sport 2 or the 15T. Then last week I got a flyer in the mail saying my LGS was having "Ruger Days" with special promotional pricing...

    Sig P290RS

When I moved to Florida I found I needed a smaller pistol for EDC in light dress. I rented and tried a number of "pocket" pistols before purchasing a Kahr CW380. The Kahr was a very good gun and easy to carry. However, the scarcity and price of 380 ACP ammo made it costly to stay...
