other manufacturers similar to the S&W line were also colloquially known as 'Kit Guns' ;) 1965 H&R Model 929 Sidekick 1939 H&R Defender 38 .38 s&w is so anemic that some rounds tumble through the paper sideways 🙃

this particular 1971 S&W 34-1 'Kit Gun' was purchase from Big 5 in Torrance CA for $98.50 and well preserved with box and factory accoutrements including original store receipt :)

wiki has a good description of a 'Kit Gun' the kit title is misleading, they are fully factory assembled :D
