Personally I would take this situation as a time to replace the stock white dot sight with either a fiber optic or a tritium night sight depending on your use of the Ruger

No need to whisper......I use FROGLUBE on ALL my firearms! Rugers, Colts, Brownings, and Mossys......Single, Double, SemiAuto, and Pump actions. They all seem very happy on FL I still really like this stuff.
