How long do you wait before taking your deer for processing?

Here many deer are brought in unskinned to the meat processor and that way for awhile. One had over 1200 for the season. Ohio/IN

    Just for snickers and grins

I am 74, have been reloading centerfire and shotgun for over 60 years. In fact my first centerfire rifle was a wildcat then so I had to reload. Still have that rifle.

    Question about reloading dies

Think about all the money you saved by reloading vs. factory ammo.

Most accurate .350 ammo by manufacturer

I was able to find some Hornady 165 grain flex tips. No soot and shot right at 1 inch at 100 yards so satisfied.

    350 Legend soot

Thanks for the quick reply. That is the brand that I had the soot on also. I think I am going to stick with the Hornady brand that does not do that.

Most accurate .350 ammo by manufacturer

For those shooting the .350 Legend I am curious what manufacturer brand and weight have you found most accurate in deer loads? I understand different rifles can like different loads but seeing if there is any consensus.

    350 Legend soot

Just to answer the question of the rifle. It is a new Thompson Center Venture II bolt action. For a factory trigger it is pretty good. One of the reasons I bought it over other brands.

    350 Legend soot

I have only 2 brands of cartridges here locally for my .350 Legend. The 180 grain Power Point Wins shoot slightly better than my Hornady (non flex tip). The Wins however leave soot and carbon streaks on the case nearly to the base. The Hornadys are clean. The Win bullets are .354...

Ruger No. 1 Lyman Centennial 1978 Century Model 1895

Any thoughts on what a Ruger No. 1 in 45-70 Govt is worth? It is the Lyman scope model commemorating 100 years of Lyman 1878-1978. Fine wood and engraving. The long Lyman scope has some wear marks. It has a serial no. of L-018. On the scope is says 1878 Lyman Centennial 1978...
