Considering my first AR. Anyone have one of these? Are they any good and what would be a reasonable price to pay for one?

Try removing the plastic base plate of the magazine. Then just rub the part that faces the bottom of the mag when installed on a piece of sandpaper lying on a table. Removing a little of the material might help it lock in easier. My wife's LCP had the same problem and this fixed it.

Not sure if this will work but it worked for me. My wife had the same problem with her LCP. I removed the plastic base piece from the magazine and rubbed it on some sandpaper to remove just a bit. Worked like a charm!

I carry one in an OWB from www.theisholsters.com. No complaints. Love the gun too.

Wife bought a 7 round mag for her LCP and it was nearly impossible to get it to seat. One quick search here and found the solution to just sand down the base plate of the magazine a touch. Works like a charm! :D

Same thing happened to my wife at the range. Pin didn't break but backed out enough for the slide to wind up 10 feet down range. Gunsmith looked at it and tightened the spring that holds the take down pin in. No problems since.

SR9C. I have it. I carry it OWB. I love it. Very fun to shoot.

Received my CWP last week and will be using my SR9C as an EDC. I have put over 300 rounds through it with not a single failure. It is extremely accurate too. Any suggestions on an OWB holster? I have one already but it feels a bit cumbersome. I'm on the slim side so looking for something with...

Just to close this out, went to the range today and the wife had no problems with her LCP. Will still keep an eye on the take down pin but the gun is a keeper. She likes it.

If it won't hold through a couple of mags, though, I think I'd be looking for a different defensive solution... Yes. Will be keeping an eye on it. If she or I don't feel comfortable with it, I'm thinking the 9mm LCR next.

The gunsmith looked at it and said everything looks fine. He adjusted the takeout pin spring and fired 3 mags with no issue. His guess is that the pin had come loose just enough to allow the slide to come off but not fall out itself. I'll be extra careful after cleaning to make sure the pin in...

It sounds like yours backed out but not all the way. Would it backing out just a little cause this to happen?

It seems you're not the first... I know. I researched and found other instances but all of them had to do with the take down pin coming out that caused it.
