I bought a rifle chambered in .375 Ruger a couple months ago. Haven't shot anything with it yet. No, I don't need a rifle that big, but that didn't stop me. I chickened out and put a brake on it. It's not quite as loud as my .44 mag. Mountain gun. Anyone else have a .375 Ruger to talk about?

I still like a high polish blue. Kind of like what they put on guns long ago.

I believe the tube type will remain usable in a snow storm or in the rain. I think the open type would have problems if the light source was full of snow and maybe rain also.

Here's a thought~~ If your blackhawk shoots a couple inches too high with the rear sight in the lowest position, file a few thousands off the top of the rear sight blade. Use the sight formula on the Brownell's site~~it tells how much to change the sight height.
