SR-556 Just how good is it?

I decided to just wait awhile on the 556. I will definately have one some day but for now there's just too many negatives being read to spend $1500 on.

SR-556 Just how good is it?

Thanks deadduck for the reply. I went to the LGS and handled one and yes, built like a tank but very front heavy I must admit. Love the Troy add-ons. I fully expected to walk out with one but after playing with it and talking to the owner, I left empty handed. I'm going to be honest, For a...

SR-556 Just how good is it?

I have been saving for a long time and I was so pumped to get one of these. Just about the time I have enough to get one I start hearing they are having problems with them and many forums, you tube and even AR-15.com talk about this. Seems like whatever site I'm at, when I mention I want a...

SR556 ~ What's the going rate in your area?

I almost have enough money saved to get one. Actually, I haven't asked the dealer what his bottom dollar is so I might already be there. After the Holidays I will be heading there and hopefully walk out the store with one in hand. When I checked back in Nov. he had them tagged at $1499.

Crimson trace or Armalaser for my LCP

Don't forget us shooters with less than perfect eyesight. The CT laser has been a godsend for more accurate target practice with the little gun. The sights are eliminated in a point and shoot situation, lasers are not!

    The P89, your unbiased opinion.

The P89 is my all-time favorite range pistol or anytime pistol I should say. It looks good, feels good, shoots great and is just so d--n dependable. I bought a second one NIB to sell but I could never depart with it now. The P89 is a classic 9mm and will forever hold a place in the handgun...

    .40 vs 9mm...

9mm Just yesterday I had a co-worker tell me that if you shoot someone with a 9mm (not knowing I own one) it will just make them angry and is very rarely fatal. I told him to tape a target to his chest and we would test out his theory.

    Blackhawk style holster for P95

I ordered a Serpa for my P89 over a month ago and it is still on backorder. I was told hopefully the middle of this month.

    New LCP jamming

Several options to try before you send it in. Polishing feed ramp, stiffer recoil spring, breaking in, etc.. You might want to go here and do some reading. Many great tips on your problem and how to eliminate it. http://elsiepeaforum.com/forum/index.php?board=6.0

    Blackhawk Serpa safe?

One of the local officers showed me his Blackhawk and I decided to try one out. Every website I checked said they didn't make one for the P89 anymore and were discontinued but the Blackhawk site did still show a Serpa for it. When I contacted them, they said it was on backorder for approx a...

What can I say. Brand new out of the box about a month ago.

    Holster issues

For the money, the Fobus holsters are nice. But they are plastic and I'm not sure they would be finish friendly on any handgun which would be a concern to me. I have friends that use them for their daily concealed carry holster under a loose shirt and I was surprized. Most of the complaints...

    LCP decocker lever?

First we have to figure out what the heck the decock lever is and where it's located on Ruger pistols. :( Hmm. Sort of stacks the deck in favor of the bad guys I would say. :? I guess I better get me a Colt or S&W so I can actually carry a loaded pistol. LOL

    LCP decocker lever?

I think the warning was added to manuals starting with the 371xxx numbers. I remember seeing a photo of an LCP that had blown apart. Can't remember if it was because of using +p ammo but all the discussions I have read from LCP user groups and Ruger pretty much agree it shouldn't be used in...
