Hmmm, call Ruger, it may be as easy as swapping the barrel and clip. The SR series are pretty similar. As hard to get as 9mm has been lately, you may find someone to trade.

I'm new to the SR9 also. Just fired my 3 box and I did have one miss feed. The casing caught the lip on the bottom of the barrel. I have no idea why that happened. Could it have been the ammo?(cheap-0 steel case stuff sold at Wal Mart for 9 bucks/box) That stuff seems to burn pretty clean...
