I like it. Prefer the New Vaqueros, but if I was into reloading .45
to high performance levels I would definitely want an original like this.
I don't have any red-box guns or their boxes, and the grips are kinda cool.
All that said, would I pay more for the package? Not much. Maybe just a little.
I'm just saying that my Cimarrons feel closer to a Colt than anything else I own, Ruger included. I happen to prefer the latter for extended shooting sessions, but appreciate the former for what they are.
My .38 actually can be carried safely with six, but requires the base pin be pushed...
Thanks to WAYNO for giving us something to look at while we wait.
I just still can't picture those Spanish check grips whited up like that...
guess they can't look any worse than the faux stags I got off ebay, can they?
I do like the look of Esmeralda's "ivorywoods" though.
Wish she made 'em...
Guess I'm spoiled by my Rugers, the wide, smooth trigger, the ability to carry six rounds safely, gloss stainless finish and wide variety of grips available...
I hadn't seen a Colt SAA in a real long time, but got to handle one recently. Was surprised that it felt exactly like my Cimarron...
The El Paso offerings look real nice, but $pendy.
Don't go the route I did. I got Bianchi's X15 that said it would fit a 4" Vaquero. It didn't, though it does fit my Gov't Model Colt.
Those look so good I came out of lurking to say so.
Plenty spalted... almost looks like light-barked stag or horn to my eyes!
Did you send your grip frame in or did they just fit that nice?
