    M77 question

My father in law gave my son a m77 mk1 with a leopold 3 by9 scope in 25-06 last year for christmas and he loves it. We cant even use it for hunting here in the lower half of Mi but it is great fun to shoot at the range. It is zeroed in at 300 yards.

    Mosin Nagant 91/38 completed restoration

Oh ok I thought so but I wasnt sure. I really love the way this revolver shoots and I havent even used the right round yet. It will also shoot the 32 s@w long cartridge so that is what I have been using and it is about the easyest gun I own to shoot. It hits right where I aim without much recoil.

    Mosin Nagant 91/38 completed restoration

I dont know what the Nagant revolver you are talking about looks like. Mine is the 1895 model Nagant that shoots a 7.62 by I think 38 round that totally encloses the bullet. The revolver is a 7 shot and the cylinder slides forward as you cock it thus putting the brass into the forcing cone and...

    Ruger Still Life

Oh yeh and a very large ammo box to hold all the verious types of ammo that all the guns need lol. I also need a very large cleaning kit to clean the guns and yes I do always clean them. This is why I decided that since I lost my leg and I needed a new carrier that I would go for my next dream...

CD i really like your Mosins. They are very nice looking. I need to find a way to take pics of mine and put them on here so you can see how nice they are. I also have the matching pistol.

    Mosin Nagant 91/38 completed restoration

My first rifle was made in 1938, the pistol was made in 1944 during the war, and my new rifle I am not sure of yet.

22 LR rifle vs pistol velocity

Yes there is a lot of loss between the rifle and the pistol when both are shooting 22lr, but what I read was that if you shoot 22 magnum through a pistol chambered for it with the 6" barrel you will get velocity comparable to a 22lr shot out of the 20" rifle. That is the numbers I would like to...

    Mosin Nagant 91/38 completed restoration

I know I have the disease because before I bought my second rifle I bought the maching revolver so I would have a compleat set. My rifles are the same as his but in much better shape.

    Mosin Nagant 91/38 completed restoration

I just got real lucky. My local gunshop just put these rifles on sale again and I just got another long rifle the M91/30 for $89. I just need to take it apart and clean off the storage grease then I will have two to shoot and have fun with.

    Mosin Nagant 91/38 completed restoration

Thanks for the info on the scope, I will look into one. Mine is a long rifle, it has the full stock with the cleaning rod in it. I also got the bayonet with it. It is the most wicked bayonet I have ever seen. Its not like the ones here that look like a knife but looks more like a screwdriver...

    Mosin Nagant 91/38 completed restoration

I have a Mosin in original condition. It was made in 1938 and when I got it, I found that by looking through all the rifles my local shop I was able to get one with very good rifling, all the brass around the slots for the sling was intact, its fit was tight, and it shoots like a dream. I was...

    NM Blackhawk

I used the white out trick on mine and it worked very well but I only put a white dot on the top of the site so I still got good contrast against light objects.

Bought a old model Single Six, did I pay a fair price?

You got one heck of a deal. I had a single six back about 20 years ago that had both cylinders but it shot so well with the magnum rounds that I put the 22lr cylinder away in the bag that the magnum came in and never used it again. If I were you I would enjoy a very neet gun and have fun with...
