So far the simplyrugged looks like the closest I may come to solving my long mount since it encompasses the whole gun and not trying to "form fit" it which would obviously be somewhat more compact ....KEEP EM COM'IN Pards!
Thanks

:D Boys I'm thinking I am going to have to build my own CHEST mount holster for my Super Blackhawk 44 mag 7.5bbl ...affectionately call the "Queen" ....anyhow the Queen has an old style no drill mount that runs like a rib quite a ways down the barrel so I think a factory rig will not fit OR I...
YES SIR! ...and I love it! ...it is rock solid ...maintains zero ...a tad bulkier than a drill and tap senario [which I refuse to do to any gun] ...I have not seen the Weaver mount in person you refer to so I cannot give you that comparison other than a picture of the weaver which appears that...
OK ...we know Tapco's 1st try at a mini 14 magazine was not good ....but I am hearing of a gen II that is reinforced and is showing promise ....yes I know ...stick with factory but factory will break me ....so I want to know if there is reasonably priced mag that will do the job ....so any gen...
You will be looking for a grip commonly known as the XR3-RED which shoes the old original Vaquero, the current new model Blackhawk WITHOUT INTERNAL LOCK,the current super Blackhawk with 5.5" and shorter barrels and single-six WITHOUT INTERNAL LOCK.
I am an experienced and well known grip carver...
Matt I fully agree with your raising pressure without a means of measuring the pressure but it is starting so low pressure wise there would lots to read in the primer in 1/2 grain increments
Jimbo I agree with you on chewing up the operating system however ACCURACY SYSTEMS makes an adjustable...
Loading data for the 223 shows 53,000+ CUP on top end [I would want a good bolt action between me and it!] I load in the 45-47,000 range for my Tac Mini-14 and AR-15
The 7.62X39 data stays around the 40,000 CUP mark [weakest action for both calibers discussed here]
So the question is has...
Yes ...the 45ACP's head space is determined by the overall lenght of the case ...so a heavy "crimp" can alter the over all length by allowing the cartridge go in the chamber PAST the end of the chamber
the solution is a very very light roll crimp but more preferable a light taper crimp...
I was corresponding with a Pard earlier today and he mentioned a Ruger aluminum BISLEY gripframe and that it's anchor pin setting was differnt from the blue steel and stainless steel making it impossible to find after market grips for it ...I never heard of a factory issued aluminum Bisley...
Looking for a Super Blackhawk blued in 7 1/2" 44 Rem mag
Mechanically good needed but worn finish or non original grips ok as it is to be a project gun ...so price is king

Dang ChuckBuster ...you anticipated my next question on a new thread ...just wanted to see what everyone has to say ...know what? ....it really does not matter ...if it isn't a Leo it probaly won't be on my gun ....I used to own a wholesale warehouse and gun distributorship...asked one of the...
Pard ...the RL550B is a production machine ....checking each handle pull for too much or too little powder defeats the machine's capability ...but what does make sense is to create/learn a cadence ...a series of YOUR movements that you repeat ...every time and without fail ...ZERO outside...
