I know that the #1 action handles rimless cartridges just fine. But in my mind I think that all single shot rifles should be chambered for rimmed cartridges! Therefore, I would like to see the #1 regularly made for the 7X57R, 30-40, 30/30, .303 British, or .307. I know I'd buy one in any of...
It may be that the .44 Special is generally no more accurate than other revolvers. But the one I own is more accurate than my other revolvers, including down-loaded .44 Magnums.
I reckon that the answer from the Ruger Company CEO takes away our opportunity to speculate on what might replace the Redhawk :( . (I would have suggested a return of the Old Army, with a secondary suggestion that it be also offered in a lighter form for .36 caliber.)
Out of your list I see ONE which I need (should be more out of 23 I would have thought!) and I would like to purchase the #424 please if it is still available. Thanks, Bob
I find the SP101 to be an excellent revolver for carrying around in the woods or around my place. In a good holster you don't even know it's there, yet you have 5 rounds of .357 ready at need.
In my experience, that swoopy cut-out place in the grips where a guy's thumb web fits is not optimal for lining up a revolver as it causes the barrel to point above my line of sight. Lots of shooters feel it is perfect for double action shooting, but for me a more plain profile of the grip...
I'd like to ask: Are these grips made to fit the 3-screw .357 size revolver (sounds like they may well be)? If so and they are still available I would be interested in buying them.
This revolver is optimised for defensive use. I would not mind seeing a version with a slightly longer barrel and an exposed hammer too, as it would make a dandy trail gun.
