Yes, it is a lever action. The receiver is not D&T'd. Rossi has a scope mount that lets a scope be mounted ahead of the action. Here's a page from the Rossi catalog that shows the rifle that I have. MSRP is around $560, but they can be had for somewhat less when you can find one...

I have a Ruger 77 flat bolt, tang safety in 250 Savage that I bought used a number of years ago. Serial #70-992xx. Just curious as to when it was made. Also I think the rifling twist is 1-14, but I'd like to confirm that. Thanks, D
