    SR1911 10mm... I'm gonna try it again.

I will make a suggestion which will reduce battering of the pistol. Get a flat bottom series 70 firing pin stop from EGW and fit it to your gun. The extra resistance will slow the slide slightly and make feeding easier and reduce battering of the frame. I have seen one picture of a barrel lug...

    How many of you....

Well that's a matter of opinion. I always loc-tite the screws on any scope I mount. If there is a vibration of some sort in these pistols that causes them to shoot screws loose, it simply is no big deal to blue loc-tite them. What I was trying to discover with this post is are any of you...

    How many of you....

have had issues with a Mark IV with screws loosening from firing? I watched a You Tube video where some guy was trashing the pistols due to sights and other thing coming loose. He said he didn't want to use blue loc-tite on his gun. It took me a few minutes to loc-tite all screws on mine. No...

GP 100 and Charter Arms BD .44 Special compare today!!

I don't understand where you guys are coming from. I presently have a Taurus 445 that is head and shoulders more gun than the Bulldog. I'm trading it next week at my LGS for a Talo edition GP-100 with walnut grips and brass bead front sight. It will tolerate Keith type 250 grain bullets...

Cheap 1911, not Ruger, copy report

I inquired of the customer service lady at Prescott as to what the accuracy standard was and what loads they tested the pistols with. The accuracy standard is 2 inches or better at 15yards. The loads are Black Hills 230 grain FMJ standard pressure and Hornady 200 grain JHP standard pressure.

    SR1911 totally stainless

Springfield had a .45 Super in their lineup at one top. The slide and barrel were ported. That gun would be covered by warranty firing the Super. I doubt any 1911 will be covered by warrantee using Super unless the manufacturer claims the gun is O.K. with Super.

Cheap 1911, not Ruger, copy report

I can't believe this thread has gone on this long without someone pointing out to Rev that the small parts on Springfields are MIM. That's fact. If you don't believe me check with Alchemy. I had a nice long talk with a lady at the Prescott facility in customer service today. She told me the...
