My Only Peeve of the P95

For me, it's not a matter of lack of strength in my hand. I have no problem with any other pistol I own in pulling the hammer back. It's the design of the hammer itself. Ruger could have done a better job in designing it. The area shown contributes nothing to aid in the hammer pull.

My Only Peeve of the P95

The problem for me is the way the hammer is designed. The round area is rounded w/ grooves, then the 'plateau' and vertical portions are slick as owl snot. If the hammer had been completely round, I believe, it would be best. Like this one............

My Only Peeve of the P95

I have a problem with pulling back the hammer on the P95. The grooves on the hammer are fine, but for me, they need to extend to the top of the hammer. The slick area always causes me to think, 'Grrrrr' every time I try to pull it back. I don't always like to use the double action on he 1st...

Why I went with LC9s Pro

I've had my CCW for 12 yrs. now. I NEVER leave the house without one in the chamber. You will make yourself conscious of the round in the chamber and when it's burned in your brain, you'll never worry about it being there.

    Another P95

I know the feeling. I traded my 1st P95 to my shooting buddy for his P85 mk ll. I liked the 85, but tried my best to buy back the 95. NO luck.

Anybody use a 9mm for pest control?

9mm works great on groundhogs. A buddy and I were groundhog hunting on opposite ends of an alfalfa field. After about 30 minutes I heard a different firearm report (not the sound of a 17 HMR that we were using) than I would have expected. We had walkie talkies so I hailed him and asked what the...

    Another P95

Thanks. My next will be a P89 stainless. The P series has always appealed to me. Old school guy, I guess.

    Another P95

After buying a new SR9E last week, I got to thinking about the P series Rugers I've owned in the past. The SR9 is nice, but I loved the P95 I used to own. I started looking on auction sites and found one at a good price compared to other listings. At sub $200 with factory 2 mags, I snatched it...

    P 89 Question

I have the blued P89 decocker/safety model, and want to change the blued slide for a stainless 89 DC slide w/ original matching barrel. My question is, will the DC version work on the DC/safety frame?
