    357 Maximum

Nice find! Ruger produced just shy of 15,000 completed guns and/or serialized frame before they quit shipping. They then "scrapped" around 5000 of them. Yours was probably produced in early 1983. The serial number guide on the Ruger site is kinda off. I will say that your serial number is "not...

    .357 Maximum for auction.

My point is without "Maximum" being in the description some people are just going to pass even looking at the pics.....

    .357 Maximum for auction.

If someone is looking for a decent shooter, this may be it.......they have it listed as a Super Blackhawk, .357 caliber.......no mention of a Maximum....alot of people won't even recognize it by the serial number....I do think 28% buyers premium is pretty harsh......

    Looking for some Maximum information.

We have heard the stories......."my neighbors cousin sent his in and got a new Super"........."LGS said one of his customers sent a Max in and got a check for full MSRP"..........well, I'm kind of a doubting Thomas........I do know it happened, though not "officially" but if someone out there...

Ruger Single Six revolvers manufactured and sold with only cylinder

The "house" or "arrow" marked single cylinder guns were designated as Model SSR. They are marked in the same location as the "star" marked models. There were two production runs of these models for approximately 4 months in 1986. One would assume that Ruger dropped the Mag cylinder to be price...

    Maximum Value ?

I have still seen some used ones go for 895.........few and far between.........I'd start at 9.........and just like anything, supply and demand, as much as 1300.......saw a couple in the last month or so go for close to 1400 on GB.....just my two cents.......it is amazing that back in the mid...

    Tomorrow's collectibles

I thought about this.....a lot.........back in 1983-1984.......Maximums were going for 3-350 NIB.......bought a couple low, 2 digit guns for 5.......I wonder if that could be why I have so many now? I always said the Max was going to be the next Hawkeye........But, above all else I really like...

    Single Six oddity

My best bet an employee got the gun originally......then sold it. But, I will tell you as an old model collector your best friend was a china marking pencil......that's what the serial numbers were marked with.
