    Help me decide an RSI

Since you're interested in a 7mm, check around for a 7/08 RSI. LIPSEY's made a walnut s/s run a year or two ago. I have an older tang-safety blued M77 RSI 7/08 and she is so sweet.

    Uncataloged #1's available

Odd.......on pg2.....last two at the bottom. Both are 300 RCM.....a Light Sporter; the other an International. The Light Sporter with 22" barrel has a 1-10" twist. The International with 20" barrel has a 1-9.5" twist.

    Principles of Controlled Feed

How does one measure the breechface angle properly/correctly? Tool(s) required? Maybe you can post pics of the procedure with tiny ▶◀▼▲ or larger ↑↓←→ to guide us to critical areas. (been wanting to use those kybd characters) My appreciation to your posts.

What made you a Ruger rifle fan?

I'm late to the trough but these are my reasons. #1- Mr. Bill Ruger #2 - Mr. Len Brownell I read about the No. 1 in 1965 or '66. Fell hard for the looks. I was 16 in '65 when i started working in hot-mix- raking and shoveling asphalt around a Barber Greene laydown machine during the summer. My...

    SR1911 .22LR Conversion kit ?

I've been using the earlier Advantage Arms Commander conversion kit which is no longer in production. AA had a closeout on them for a oustanding price and i could not resist. Shortly after i received my full size SR 1911( May last year?) I installed it and loved the compactness of the CMD kit...

    1987 Tang Safety M77 VGM 243 NIB

cclfn......thank you very much for the responses. I was hoping there would have been a number on the ring packaging so i could email Mr. Fifer at Ruger in attempt to get them to consider producing that black matte finish. It looks like it come close to the matte found on Leupold and Redfield...

    1987 Tang Safety M77 VGM 243 NIB

cclfn, what a dilemma yet what an enviable position to be in. i cannot offer any info on the firearm but i am wondering if you could answer a couple of ques for me. Regarding the rings......are they matte finished as well? If yes,do they match the receiver and barrel fairly close? And is there...

    ruger matte blu rings

I'm a proud possessor of Hawkeye matte stainless 358 Win with 22" barrel. It came with the matte stainless rings but i'm not going the stainless scope route. I initially wanted to put a 2x7 Redfield Revolution scope on top but the action is to long for the mounting surfaces on this little...

    New Lipsey's long-gun teaser

I would hope that Ruger would hold off on producing any 10/22 Internationals for another four years. 2016 would mark the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the International series.....maybe a run of fine walnut.....gloss deep blueing....checkering......all metal......warning on the bottom...

    most produced M77 RSI ?

Speaking of tang safety models.......what chambering was the most produced? I'd say 308 or 243 but just a guess.......i would lean toward the 308. But then......of all M77 RSI's......same question. As an after afterthought........why only the 22/250 and not the 223 as well?

    New Lipsey's long-gun teaser

Who knows......if this is a centerfire, maybe it's a centerfire caliber that ruger has no history with......say, a 17 caliber barrel......17 fireball or 17 hornet or the 17 rem.....might have had production issues or quality issues and had to re-schedule or re-work the tooling. Time will...
