Missouri no longer notifying CCW holders of renewal time

S.C. is the same, they will not notify you but now they also don't charge you. This reminds me that my Maine permit expires next month.

New shoulder rig for my 1911

I like leather and once you get it broken in and after a few years have some 'body oil' soaked into it, it will be a classic.

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

The guy looks like he would not have clue of what to do with even one of those pistols... but I bet he's a pretty good line dancer.

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

I agree and I guess I'm going to be the art critique here... I don't think I would have much of an appetite if I had to sit and look at that picture. Takes the idea of the "urban cowboy" a bit too far in my opinion.

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

Seems in manufacturing if you develop a product over the years to the point it is pretty much perfect.... there comes a time when enough new people in offices will decide to get rid of it and start making something 'new and more better'. And we all know what you get from that.

    Ruger LCP--hard to rack

If you think about it the racking of the slide has to do with the force from the round... .380 is easier to do than 9mm and the strength needed goes up from there... try a 357 Sig pistol sometime....

    Security 9 compact

Check how you are gripping the pistol when you shoot. You could be hitting the slide lock lever and pushing it up when shooting.

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

You cold do it on a P89 and maybe some others but not on a P95.... plastic frame all in one piece no grip panels.

South Carolina Now Permitless Carry State

yep.... as far as I know. The interesting thing is I've yet to see anyone here in S.C. recently or even before open carrying...... So, probably the only thing that will have changed is SLED now has to offer free classes and that will cost us tax payers money. But I guess the irony is...

    anyone carry this way??

Nothing wrong with cross draw if you train to do it right... my problem is I'm limited in what I can learn to do physically semi-fast and I prefer to keep it simple.. One method, and mine is holstered at the 4 o'clock. It is hard enough for me to draw and aim from there properly.

    22lr carry for defense??

If we went by that theory there would be no discussion because I'm pretty sure any thought or idea that has been contemplated in all of the human minds on the planet has been discussed more than once on the internet and social medias. ... and the amazing thing is we are still all pretty...

    P95 Mag Release

Okay, I got it even though I think that is kind of a stretch .... there has to be more 1911s in the Bible ... but not wanting to cause conflict I accept it and will let my two 46acp buddies know this and they will like it. And yes, after all that spaying and such I think it needs to got...

    P95 Mag Release

From JAYDAWG: Please enlighten me...................... Good question, hope we get a reply... but then it might start a religious debate...... I re-read the original post and I think the key is "old Ruger P95". I'm now betting it is just gunked up,

    P95 Mag Release

Probably Obsolete because I actually own 9.... 10 is going to be my limit though.... For those that don't know the history, the P239 was designed by Sig to be a concealed carry pistol for off duty police officers.... it was pretty popular for a while ... then along came all the plastic...

    P95 Mag Release

yep, let a smith work on it... it will be worth it... I'm had a number of springs that have journeyed to a different universe... As for the P89 quandary on older mags and newer ones... I fixed my older P 89 by just filing off some of the top of the magazine latch.... just for kicks...
